Description
Open-theme juried best-of-the-best exhibition for North Texas visual artists at the Frisco Discovery Center. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture.
Notes
Submit up to 3 JPEG images. Entry fee is $50 per artist; no discount codes. Original works only and may not have been previously shown in juried VAGF shows. Curated by several visual art professionals; jurors will be announced. Notification by September 4, 2026. Deliver accepted work September 19, 2026, 12:00 PM–2:00 PM; pickup October 24, 2026, 12:00 PM–2:00 PM. Artist Reception and award ceremony: October 11, 2026, 6:30 PM–8:30 PM. Cash awards: $1,000 Best in Show, $750 second place, $500 third place, $200 honorable mentions, and $200 Art that Speaks to Me Award. VAGF retains 20% commission on sales. Hanging work may not exceed 60 inches wide or 72 inches high including frame; must be wired and ready to hang, with no saw hooks. Sculpture must be freestanding and durable, or fit available vitrines up to 24x20x20 inches; artists are encouraged to provide a pedestal. Late pickup incurs $25/day storage fees.
