Description
Juried open-theme exhibition at the Frisco Discovery Center. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture. Up to 3 JPEG images; works must be original and not previously shown in juried VAGF shows.

Submission window: 2026-07-20 12:00 AM to 2026-08-24 11:59 PM. Entry fee is $50 per artist for up to 3 images; no discount codes. Show jurors will be announced soon; exhibition curated by several visual art professionals. Artists will be notified of acceptance by Sep 4, 2026. Accepted works must be delivered Saturday, Sep 19, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and picked up Sunday, Oct 24, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Artist reception and award ceremony on Sunday, Oct 11, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Frisco Discovery Center. Failure to deliver on time results in exclusion. Failure to pick up on time incurs $25/day storage fees. Accepted artists receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. All submitted works should be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hooks not accepted. 1/2-inch canvases should be framed; 1-2 inch canvases should have neatly painted edges if unframed. Hanging artworks should be no wider than 60 inches and no taller than 72 inches including the frame. Multi-unit works must be connected as a single unit. Sculpture must be freestanding and not easily damaged; a limited number of vitrines are available for sculptures up to 24x20x20 inches, and artists are encouraged to provide a pedestal. VAGF retains 20% commission from sales. Cash prizes include Best in Show $1,000, 2nd $750, 3rd $500, Honorable Mentions of $200 each, and an Art that Speaks to Me Award of $200.
