Description
Members-only call for one artist to display work in the Mayor's office at City Hall. Accepts painting, drawing, mixed media, and photography; art should be appropriate for a public area and be for sale.
Notes
Submission window: 2026-07-21 12:00 AM to 2026-08-24 11:59 PM. Fee is $20 per 10 images. VAGF members only; artist must be current in membership. One VAGF member will be selected on a quarterly basis. Art will be on display from September 2026 through January 2027, with exact dates determined by City staff. Submission deadline is Aug 24, 2026. Installation will be scheduled by City staff in collaboration with the selected artist. Finalists are selected by a VAGF panel of jurors and final acceptance is subject to approval by City officials. All submitted works should be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hooks not accepted. 1/2-inch to 1-inch canvases should be framed; 1 1/2-inch to 2-inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. All art must be for sale at a price of at least $100. VAGF retains 20% commission from all sales generated through the show. Contact: info@vagf.org.
