Exhibition at The Cove featuring multidisciplinary artist Gaurii S Kumaar, whose work explores belonging within India’s traditional caste system through abstract, iconographic fantastical landscapes; the show also includes work by some of her art students.
Notes
Exhibition dates and times: Friday, August 21st, 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM; Saturday, August 22nd, 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Gaurii S Kumaar explores themes of belonging, India’s traditional caste system, inheritance, Eastern narratives, astrology, and fate, including rituals performed near bodies of water in India. The exhibition will include work by some of Gaurii’s art students. Venue: The Cove, a program of Arts and Music Guild, 402 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, Texas 75069.
