Description
Open call for an exhibition themed RED, celebrating Women's Heart Week. All media are eligible; submitted work must be the artist's original interpretation of RED. The exhibition is curated, and not all submitted work will be shown.
Notes
Submit 1 to 10 organized 300 dpi JPG images by email, with size, media, and description of each work plus an artist statement. Cloud, web page, and Dropbox submissions are not accepted. Submission fee: $15 for 1 to 3 works, plus $5 for each additional piece; payment is available through the gallery website Buy Now button. Works must be ready to hang with secure wiring and hardware that supports the work's weight; saw hook hanging is not accepted. Stretcher frames 1 to 2 inches are acceptable if unframed edges are cleaned, painted, or otherwise finished; 1/2-inch canvases must be framed. For multi-piece work, submit a hanging diagram including desired spacing dimensions. Work not complying with requirements will not be hung. Submissions due by 5:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016. Acceptance notification is Monday, January 11, 2016. Delivery is Monday, January 25, 2016, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Artists and Guests Reception is Friday, February 5, 2016, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
