Description
International contemporary craft and digital art competition and exhibition featuring clay, fiber, glass, metal, paper, wood, mixed media, conceptual art, and digital media. Juried call for up to 3 artworks per artist; works must be ready to install and have been completed within the past three years.

Opens May 23, 2026. Entry deadline is Oct 10, 2026 by 11:59 PM CT. Submissions are through CaFÉ (link to be added soon). Each artist may submit up to 3 artworks; one-time non-refundable fee is $35 for the application, with the 2nd and 3rd entries free. Current GDAC members receive a $5 off coupon code via the Art Scene newsletter. Eligible media include clay, fiber, glass, metal, paper, wood, combinations of craft media, conceptual art, and digital media. Ready-made materials are accepted. Works must have been completed within the past three years (2024-2026) and not previously exhibited at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. Local, national, and international artists may apply. Works must be ready for installation and ready to hang; maximum weight is 75 pounds. GDAC may exclude entries with complex installation or assembly issues. A 30% commission is retained on sales; NFS works must be clearly marked. Accepted artists will be notified Nov 9, 2026. Artist contracts are due Nov 28, 2026. Shipped and hand-delivered artwork is due Jan 5-9, 2027 (no Sunday or Monday deliveries). The exhibition will be on view Feb 26-May 8, 2027 at the newly renovated Meadows Gallery. Opening Reception is Feb 26, 2027 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Awards Ceremony at 7:00 PM. De-installation and return of artwork run May 10-22, 2027.
