Description
Photography call for a residential gallery at The View in Frisco. Theme is Retro / Midcentury Modern / Industrial. VAGF members only; up to 5 JPEG images; 2D hanging photography only; size must be 16x16 to 60x60 inches, excluding frame.
Notes
Submission window: 2026-03-07T06:00 to 2026-04-15T23:59. Fee is $10 for the first 3 entries, plus $2 for each of up to 2 additional entries. Non-members may participate by joining VAGF before submission. Submit JPEGs for consideration. Artists notified of purchase offer or acceptance by 2026-04-20. Purchase transactions handled by VAGF; VAGF retains 20% donation commission. Artwork value must be at least $100 and no more than $1,000. Include the price of the artwork in the Notes section. BIO must be a condensed third-person summary, one paragraph, max 50 words. Artist statement must be first person, up to 3 paragraphs, max 250 words. Accepted works must be delivered to The Platform building located at 3rd and Ash St on Sunday, 2026-05-17 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Rotating gallery pickup date will be announced with the acceptance email; estimated exhibition duration is 4 months. Dates are subject to change because the building is under construction. Artists accepted to the show will receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Failure to deliver on time excludes the work. Failure to pick up when announced results in storage fees of $25 per day starting on the pickup day. Meet the Artists event will be scheduled later. Works must be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hooks not accepted. 1/2" to 1" canvases should be framed; 1 1/2" to 2" canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Artwork must remain in VAGF exhibitions until pickup and must be signed out. Contact info@vagf.org and 214-770-6154.
