Description

Juried exhibition celebrating the splendor, grandeur, and creative power of women artists. Call open to all women artists 18+ from anywhere. Media invited: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Fiber Art, Sculpture, Printmaking and Ceramics. 2D size limit 40 in. wide x 48 in. tall; 3D size limit 24 in. width, 60 in. height, 24 in. depth; max weight 50 lbs. Entry fee $25 for two submissions (non-refundable).

Women in Art – Revealing Our Magnificence Exhibition. Curated by Katherine Baronet. Presented by Andrea Lamarsaude, Owner and Gallerist, Art on Main. Eligibility: Call open to all women artists, 18 and older, from anywhere. Exhibition is intentionally inclusive and mentorship-focused, welcoming women artists (18+) of all ethnicities and backgrounds, particularly those with minimal prior gallery exhibition experience. Entry fee: $25 for two submissions; entry fees are non-refundable. Key Dates & Exhibition Details: - Call for Art Opens: January 22, 2026 - Call for Art Closes: March 31, 2026 - Acceptance notifications: Friday, April 10, 2026 - Artist Mentor Workshop: April 21, 2026 | 6–8 PM - Exhibition On View: May 12–30, 2026 - VIP Pre-Reception: Saturday, May 16 | 5:30-6:30 pm - Opening Reception: Saturday, May 16 | 6:30–9 PM (Best in Show to be presented at the Opening Reception) - Closing Reception: Saturday, May 30 | 5:30–8:30 PM - Gallery Hours: Tuesday, Thursday–Saturday | 10 AM–5 PM (or by appointment) - Art drop off: Thursday, May 7, 10am-5pm; Friday, May 8, 10-5pm; Saturday, May 10, 9-10am - Art pick up: After (not during) closing reception Saturday evening at 8:30pm or Monday, June 1, 9am-1pm Mission: Provide women artists with little to no gallery experience a place to exhibit their artwork in a professional gallery setting and provide opportunity to have a visual voice. Media invited: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Fiber Art, Sculpture, Printmaking and Ceramics. Curatorial criteria include line/shape/color/boldness/use of space; 3D form and motion; creativity and originality; emotional/visual impact; energy and movement. Media requirements: - 2D art not to exceed 40 in. wide x 48 in. tall. - 2D art must be framed, on gallery wrapped canvas, or hangable (wired or with 3D hooks; no sawtooth hangers) or it will not be accepted. Curator has the right to refuse any art that does not adhere to these rules. - Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 24 in. width, 60 in. height and 24 in. depth. - Weight limitation of each crated or packaged work must not exceed 50 lbs. - For 3D art pieces requiring display on a pedestal, indicate if you have a pedestal that can be used. - The gallery will not install any hardware required to hang the piece; artist must submit art that is ready to hang. - Artist should indicate on the back of the piece their name, the name of the piece and contact info. - Works of photography and drawings must be framed (per hangable art rules). - Provide, if possible, a pedestal for sculptural works that are not designed to be hung. - Special install instructions must be included when submitting. Shipping/returns: Any art shipped to the gallery must come with return instructions should the work not be sold. Art on Main Gallery is not responsible for shipping art back to the artist. Artist must provide shipping materials, instructions, and a prepaid shipping label or some form of payment for any return shipping charges. Submission requirements: - All artwork must be for sale. - Art on Main commission: 25% of any work sold (gallery’s normal commission is 40%). - All art must be submitted online only; please no emails, texts, or social media DMs for submitting your art. - Artists may submit a maximum of two works of art for the curator’s consideration. Artwork photos: Submit high-resolution files; image of only the art (no background on the sides). Platform accepts files up to 5MB. Gallery agreement: Curator makes final decision; reviews photographs of completed artwork only; decision is final. Unless otherwise communicated by the artist to the curator, permission to use photos of accepted entries for promotional and educational purposes is considered permitted. Delivery, liability, and insurance: Accepted artwork delivered after scheduled drop off dates will not be included. Art on Main not responsible for damage/loss/wear and tear while in transit to be delivered; reasonable care once received. Art on Main will provide insurance on works of art unless otherwise communicated; if a work is not accepted for insurance the artist will be notified and may choose to include without insurance coverage and sign a waiver. Art on Main not responsible for art damaged due to malfunctioning hanging/installation hardware provided/installed by artists; artists may purchase coverage separately.
