Call for art for The Beacon residential building. Theme: Colorful Modern Abstracts. Open to VAGF members only; categories include Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media.

Start date: 2025-08-30T00:00. End date: 2025-10-06T23:59. Fee is $0.00 USD per 2. Free submission for up to two images. 2D artworks must measure at least 20" by 20" and up to 60" maximum size, including the frame. Submission is free for VAGF members only; non-members may join before submission. Entries accepted in Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media; works must be original concept of the artist. Submit JPEGs by the submission deadline of October 6, 2025. Artists will be notified of purchase offer or acceptance by October 11, 2025. VAGF retains 20% commission from all sales. Pieces must have a value of at least $100. Works accepted to the gallery show must be delivered on Sunday, November 2, 2025, between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and picked up on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Artists accepted to the show will receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Failure to bring artwork during the drop-off time will result in exclusion; failure to pick up art during the pickup time will result in storage fees of $10 per day starting with the pickup day. Meet the Artists event will be scheduled later. All submitted work should be ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging will not be accepted. 1/2"-1" canvases should be framed; 1 1/2" to 2" canvases need neatly painted edges if not framed. Multi-unit works must be connected as a single unit. VAGF reserves the right to refuse entry to the show at load-in due to weight, size, structural integrity, or other considerations. Artwork must stay in VAGF exhibitions until pickup time on pickup day and must be signed out; removal without written permission by a VAGF board member may incur significant penalties.
