Description

Annual members-only spring exhibition and sale at the Collin County History Museum. Theme is Seeing Red; accepts original 2D and 3D works by current Art Club of McKinney members in good standing.

Free and open to the public during regular operating hours Friday, March 27, 2026 and Saturday, March 28, 2026. Mixer: Friday, March 27, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Artist Reception & Awards Program: Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Submission deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST. Art drop-off at Collin County History Museum: Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Art pick-up at Collin County History Museum: Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Submit work online at https://pci.jotform.com/form/253394334813156. Entry fees: $25 for one entry, $35 for two entries, payable upon submission. Limited to two works per member. Works must be original, not previously entered in past Art Club-sponsored shows, and no wet artwork will be accepted. 2D artwork must be framed and securely wired; canvas works do not need to be framed but must be wired. No saw-toothed hangers or non-wired works. 2D works must not exceed 18 x 24 inches framed; oversized work requires prior approval from Cindy Luvender, Show Chair, cindyluvender@gmail.com. 3D artwork must be stable and self-supporting or wired for hanging; combined dimensions may not exceed 70 inches. Labels must be completed and attached before drop-off. Art may be priced for sale; sale agreement is between artist and buyer, and contact info must be included on submission form and labels. If sold during the show, work must remain on display for the full exhibition; pre-sold work must also hang for the duration. Artist is responsible for reporting sales tax to the State of Texas. Late pickup may incur a $10/day charge. Judges: Cathy Cotter-Smith, Barbara Bell Dubovsky, and Patrick Michael Reeves. Optional judge feedback can be requested on the entry form. Awards: Best in Show $125; First Place $100; Second Place $75; Third Place $50. Awards are given in each category, with a minimum number of entries required for some category placements.
