Description

Annual members-only spring exhibition themed 'Seeing Red' at the Collin County History Museum. Open to the public during show days; includes 2D and 3D artwork categories, sales, judging, and awards.

Submission deadline: 2026-03-20 23:59 CST. Art drop-off at Collin County History Museum on 2026-03-26 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Public mixer: 2026-03-27 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Artist Reception & Awards Program: 2026-03-28 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Art pick-up: 2026-03-29 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Free and open to the public during regular operating hours on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. Eligibility: current members of the Art Club of McKinney in good standing only. Entry fee is $25 for one entry or $35 for two entries, payable upon submission. Submission limit is two works per member. Submit online at https://pci.jotform.com/form/253394334813156. Works must be original and not previously entered in Art Club-sponsored shows. No wet artwork accepted. 2D artwork must be framed and securely wired; canvas works need not be framed but must be wired. No saw-toothed hangers or non-wired works accepted. 2D work must not exceed 18 x 24 inches framed; oversize work requires prior approval from Cindy Luvender, Show Chair. 3D artwork must be stable and self-supporting or wired for hanging; combined dimensions (height + width + depth) must not exceed 70 inches. Labels must be completed and attached before drop-off. Art may be priced for sale; sale is between artist and buyer, and contact information must be included on the submission form and labels if for sale. Sold work must remain on display for the full exhibition; pre-sold work must still hang for the duration of the show. Artist is responsible for reporting sales tax to the State of Texas. Late pickup may incur a $10/day charge. People’s Choice Award includes a $250 cash prize and is announced at the conclusion of the Artist Reception on Saturday, March 28; artists need not be present to win. Awards include ribbons and cash prizes: Best in Show $125, First Place $100, Second Place $75, Third Place $50 in each category, subject to minimum entry counts. Judges: Cathy Cotter-Smith, Barbara Bell Dubovsky, and Patrick Michael Reeves; optional judge feedback may be requested on the entry form.
