Description
Juried VAGF members-only membership showcase at the Frisco Discovery Center. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture; open subject matter; up to 3 JPEG submissions free. Works must be original and not previously shown in juried VAGF shows.

Submission window: 2026-01-06 12:00 AM to 2026-02-09 11:59 PM. Free for up to 3 images. Members only; non-members may join before the deadline. Exhibition on display Feb 28, 2026 to Mar 28, 2026 at the Frisco Discovery Center. Notification stated in the text as between Feb 11 and 13, 2025, but this appears inconsistent with the 2026 event. Accepted works delivered Saturday, Feb 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and picked up Saturday, Mar 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Artists Reception and Award Ceremony on Mar 8, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Accepted artists receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Failure to deliver on time results in exclusion; failure to pick up on time results in $25/day storage fees starting on pickup day. Hanging works must be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hooks not accepted. 1/2-inch to 1-inch canvases should be framed; 1 1/2-inch to 2-inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Hanging artworks should be no wider than 60 inches and no taller than 72 inches including the frame. Sculpture artists must provide a safe and secure display method; if a sculpture is big and heavy and not designed to be displayed on the floor, a pedestal is encouraged. Multi-unit works must be connected as a single unit. Juried show with cash awards in various categories; jurors will be announced shortly. VAGF retains 20% commission from sales.
