High School Student Art Show
Description
Juried public art show for public, private, and homeschool high school students. Categories include Digital Arts/Photography, Mixed Media, 3-D/Sculpture, Scratchboard, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Pen/Pencil/Colored Pencil, Charcoal, and Pastels. Cash prizes and additional awards offered. Entry fee $10 per entry, maximum 2 entries per student; scholarships available by contacting the show chair.

Opening Night: Saturday October 25 2025. Reception 6-8pm; Awards Ceremony 6:30-7pm. Show on exhibit Oct 25th - Nov 1st at Collective Coffee (301 W Louisiana St Suite 200, McKinney, TX 75069). Registration: Public, private, and homeschool high school art students invited to register online (teachers can register students or students can register independently). Registration is now closed. Registration Deadline: Monday, October 13th by Midnight. Entry Fee: $10 per entry; max of 2 entries per student. Scholarships available for students who need assistance with the entry fee; contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal at mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com for more information. Categories and Awards: Per category—1st $100, 2nd $75, Honorable Mention $25 (categories may be adjusted based on submissions). Additional awards: President’s Award $150; Best in Show $125. Artwork Drop Off Date/Time: Artwork must be delivered to Collective Coffee Thursday, October 23rd between 4-6pm. Students, parents, or teachers can drop off. All work must be labeled and ready to hang. If unable to drop off at the designated date/time, contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal (mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com) ahead of time to schedule an alternate drop off date/time. Artwork Requirements: 2D Work (Painting, Drawing, Photography, Etc): Mats required (black, white, or off-white). Frames optional. If matting only (no traditional frame), mount matted work to foam board and wire the back for hanging. All pieces must be wired and ready to hang—no sawtooth hangers or clip systems. Label required for each piece; affix to the back, top right corner. Size limit: maximum overall dimensions 18" x 24" including mat, frame, or mounting materials. 3D Work (Sculpture, Assemblage, Installation, Etc): Must be structurally sound, stable, and suitable for indoor display (unless otherwise specified). Must be fully assembled or require only minimal assembly on-site. Works measuring 3 feet or larger in any dimension require prior approval. No perishable, combustible, or live components accepted without written pre-approval. Label required for each piece. Artwork Pick Up Date/Time: All artwork must be picked up at Collective Coffee on Sunday, November 2nd between 12-2pm. Any work not picked up will incur a $10/day storage fee.
