Description
Juried high school student art show for public, private, and homeschool students. Includes 2D and 3D work in multiple media categories, with cash prizes and awards. Show is exhibited at Collective Coffee in McKinney.
Notes
Opening night is Saturday, October 25, 2025. Reception is 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and awards ceremony is 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Exhibition runs October 25, 2025 through November 1, 2025. Registration deadline is Monday, October 13, 2025 by midnight; registration is now closed. Entry fee is $10 per entry, maximum 2 entries per student. Scholarships are available for students who need assistance with the entry fee; contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal at mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com. Eligible registrants are public, private, and homeschool high school art students; teachers may register students or students may register independently. Categories include Digital Arts/Photography, Mixed Media, 3-D/Sculpture, Scratchboard, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Pen/Pencil/Colored Pencil, Charcoal, and Pastels. Awards per category are 1st $100, 2nd $75, Honorable Mention $25; additional awards include President’s Award $150 and Best in Show $125. Artwork drop-off is Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Collective Coffee; students, parents, or teachers may deliver work. All work must be labeled and ready to hang. 2D work requires mats in black, white, or off-white; frames are optional. If not using a traditional frame, matted work must be mounted to foam board and wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers or clip systems. Maximum 2D size is 18 inches by 24 inches including mat, frame, or mounting materials. 3D work must be structurally sound, stable, and suitable for indoor display unless otherwise specified; works 3 feet or larger in any dimension require prior approval; no perishable, combustible, or live components without written pre-approval. Artwork pickup is Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Collective Coffee. Any work not picked up will incur a $10 per day storage fee.
