Description
Juried high school student art show at Collective Coffee in McKinney, featuring work from public, private, and homeschool high school students. Categories include 2D and 3D art, with cash prizes and awards.
Notes
Opening night is Saturday, October 25, 2025. Reception is 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and awards ceremony is 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Show on exhibit Oct 25, 2025 through Nov 1, 2025. Registration deadline is Monday, October 13, 2025 by midnight; registration is now closed. Public, private, and homeschool high school art students may register. Teachers can register students or students can register independently. Entry fee is $10 per entry, maximum 2 entries per student. Scholarships are available for students who need assistance with the entry fee; contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal at mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com. Categories and awards: per category, 1st $100, 2nd $75, Honorable Mention $25; categories may be adjusted based on submissions. Additional awards: President’s Award $150 and Best in Show $125. Categories listed: Digital Arts/Photography, Mixed Media, 3-D/Sculpture, Scratchboard, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Pen/Pencil/Colored Pencil, Charcoal, Pastels. Artwork drop-off is Thursday, October 23, 2025 between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Collective Coffee; students, parents, or teachers may drop off work. All work must be labeled and ready to hang. 2D work requires mats in black, white, or off-white; frames are optional; if no traditional frame is used, matted work must be mounted to foam board and wired. All 2D pieces must be wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers or clip systems. Maximum overall size for 2D work is 18 x 24 inches including mat, frame, or mounting materials. 3D work must be structurally sound, stable, suitable for indoor display, and fully assembled or require only minimal on-site assembly. Works 3 feet or larger in any dimension require prior approval. No perishable, combustible, or live components without written pre-approval. A label is required for each piece and should be affixed to the back, top right corner. Artwork pick-up is Sunday, November 2, 2025 between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at Collective Coffee.
