Description
Fifth annual collaboration between the Art Club of McKinney and the Mockingbird Poetry Society pairing artists and poets to create original works in response to each other. The exhibit features paired visual art and poetry on display with an opening-night reception and next-day showcase including live poetry readings and artist spotlights.

Reception: Fri, Feb 6, 2026, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CST. Art & Poetry Showcase: Sat, Feb 7, 2026, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST. Exhibit on display Fri, Feb 6 to Sat, Feb 7 during regular business hours. Prospectus and labels are available for download and should be read for key details, including important dates, requirements, submission instructions, labels, and accommodation suggestions for out-of-town travelers. The page also notes a contest winner: Melody Lewis, artist, for The Reader (acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, 16 x 20 inches), which will appear on promotional materials for the 2026 exhibit & showcase.
