Description
Members-only call for a themed exhibition at The Gallery residential building in Frisco. Accepts all 2D mediums; free for up to 5 JPEG images. Theme is Funky Modern Colorful / Mixed Media and Collage; some works may be purchased for permanent placement or included in a rotating art gallery.
Notes
Submission window: 2026-04-04 17:15 to 2026-05-03 23:59. Fee: $10.00 USD per 3, with additional entries at $2.00 USD per 1. VAGF members only; non-members may join online before submitting. Submit up to five images; the first 3 are included in the fee, with two additional submissions for an additional total of $4.00. Entries accepted in all 2D mediums. Artists will be notified of purchase offer or acceptance by 2026-05-08. Purchase transactions handled by VAGF; VAGF retains 20% donation commission from all sales generated through the show. Pieces must have a value of at least $100 and maximum value of $1,000. BIO must be condensed third person, one paragraph, max 50 words. Artist statement must be first person, up to 3 paragraphs, max 250 words. Accepted works must be delivered to The Gallery Apartment lobby, 4th and Ash St, Frisco, TX, on Sunday, 2026-05-31 from 14:00 to 15:00. Rotating gallery accepted artwork will have a pickup date announced with the acceptance email; estimated exhibition duration is 4 months. Dates are subject to change because the building is under construction. Accepted artists will receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Meet the Artists event will be scheduled later. Works must be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging not accepted. Works on 1/2 to 1 inch canvases should be framed; works on 1 1/2 to 2 inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Artwork must remain until pickup and be signed out. Failure to deliver on time results in exclusion. Failure to pick up on time results in storage fees of $25 per day starting on pickup day.
