Description
Open-theme juried exhibition at the Frisco Discovery Center. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture; up to 3 JPEG images. Optional theme is The Fans. Works must be original and not previously shown in juried VAGF shows; maximum size is 72 inches in any direction including frame.

EXTENDED submission deadline: 2026-05-06 23:59. Start date listed as 2026-04-13 04:34. Submission is open to the public; fee is $45, and VAGF members receive a $10 discount by emailing info@vagf.org for the member code. If joining VAGF, use the membership link provided in the text. Artists may submit up to 3 JPEG images. The show will be curated by several visual art professionals; submission does not guarantee acceptance and the fee is non-refundable. Artists will be notified by May 10, 2026. Accepted works must be delivered to the Frisco Discovery Center on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and picked up on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Artist reception is Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Frisco Discovery Center. Accepted artists receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Works must be ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging not accepted. 1/2-inch canvases should be framed; 1-inch to 2-inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Large or heavy sculptures not meant for the floor require a secure pedestal. Multi-unit works must be connected as a single unit. Cash prizes are to be determined later. Sold artwork must remain on display until the end of the exhibition. Removing artwork without written permission by a VAGF board member may incur penalties. Staff at Frisco Discovery Center cannot authorize release of art without written approval by a VAGF board member. VAGF retains 20% commission from sales. Contact: info@vagf.org, 214-770-6154.
