Notes

Submission window: 2026-04-13 04:34 to 2026-05-06 23:59. Extended submission deadline is May 6, 2026. Submission is open to the public; fee is $45, and VAGF members receive a $10 discount by emailing info@vagf.org for the member code. If you would like to join VAGF prior to submission, membership is available online. Because the exhibit coincides with the World Cup, the optional theme is 'The Fans'; the exhibit includes an activation by the Public Art program of Play Frisco. Entries accepted in Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture; works must be original and not previously shown in juried VAGF shows. Art pieces cannot exceed 72 inches in either direction including the frame. Submit up to 3 JPEG images. Artists notified by May 10, 2026. Accepted works delivered Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Pickup is Saturday, Aug 1, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Artists reception on Saturday, Jun 13, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Frisco Discovery Center. Failure to deliver on time results in exclusion; failure to pick up on time incurs $25/day storage fees starting on pickup day. Accepted artists receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. 2D works should be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hooks not accepted. 1/2-inch canvases should be framed; 1-2 inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Sculpture artists must provide a secure pedestal if the sculpture is heavy and not meant to be displayed on the floor. Multi-unit works must be connected as a single unit. Cash prizes to be determined later. All artwork sold must remain on display until the end of exhibition. VAGF retains 20% commission from sales. Prizes are funded by submissions fees, membership fees, donors, sponsors, and grants. Contact: info@vagf.org.
