Description
Members-only themed exhibition at the new Frisco Public Library. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media; up to 3 JPEG images free. Theme is Chasing the Sun; hanging works must be no wider than 60 inches and no taller than 60 inches, with minimum size 24x24 inches including frame.
Notes
Submission window: 2026-04-21 00:00 to 2026-05-11 23:59. Free submission for current VAGF members only; non-members may join before the deadline. Artists submit JPEGs by May 11, 2026 and are notified by May 15, 2026. Accepted works must be delivered to the Frisco Public Library on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and picked up on Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Meet the Artists event is Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Accepted artists receive calendar invites from vagfsuggestions@gmail.com. Failure to deliver or pick up on time results in exclusion or $25/day storage fees starting on pickup day. Artists unable to pick up or drop off must email info@vagf.org with the name of the designated person. Works must be ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging not accepted. 1/2-inch canvases should be framed; 1-inch to 2-inch canvases need neatly painted edges if unframed. Artwork must stay in VAGF exhibitions until pickup and be signed out. Removed artwork without written permission may incur penalties. VAGF reserves the right to refuse entry at load-in due to weight, size, structural integrity, or other considerations. VAGF retains 20% commission from sales; pieces must have value of at least $100 and artwork not for sale will not be accepted.
