Description
Silent auction associated with the 4th annual art appreciation awards dinner. Open to anyone; open theme. Up to 2 artworks for $45. Artists must be present at the awards dinner to participate. Categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media (some small sculptures may be accepted). Max wall size 24 inches in all directions including frame (larger allowed with easel). Minimum bid $100. Board Choice and Audience Favorite cash awards. Delivery Jan 16, 2026; pickup no later than 9:30 p.m. after event concludes.

Host: Visual Arts Guild of Frisco. Event: 2026 VAGF Art Auction, sponsored by Verona Villa. Eligibility: submission open to anyone; open theme. Artists must be present at the 4th annual art appreciation awards dinner to participate. VAGF Board of Directors have discretion on acceptance; artwork must be for public consumption. Submissions/fee: may submit up to two artworks for $45 submission fee (via Smarter Entry). Submission fee includes a raffle ticket and one admission ticket to the event for the artist. Other dinner tickets may be purchased (link provided in text). Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at check-in. Awards: silent auction artwork eligible for two categories of cash awards: Board Choice and Audience Favorite. Commission: VAGF retains 20% and artist receives 80% of auctioned price. Artwork requirements: to fit on VAGF Propanel walls, maximum size cannot exceed 24 inches in all directions (including the frame). Larger pieces may be entered but must come with an easel. Ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging not accepted. Works on 1/2" canvases should be framed; works on 1" to 2" canvases need neatly painted edges if not framed. Minimum bid: artist must note minimum bid price for each piece; minimum bid for all artworks is $100 and will start at $100 if not noted. Deadline: submit JPEGs by January 9, 2026. Delivery/drop-off: deliver artwork to Verona Villa, 6591 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034 on Friday, January 16, 2026, between 3:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m. If artwork not delivered by 5:30 p.m. on 1/16/26, it will not be included and no refunds will be given. Pickup: unsold artwork must be picked up following the conclusion of the event, no later than 9:30 p.m. If not picked up during designated pickup time, may incur storage fees of $25 per day starting with pickup day. Artwork must be displayed in all VAGF exhibitions until load out date and time. Liability/insurance: by registering for VAGF art calls, if selected art displayed in public area at artist’s own risk; VAGF not responsible for damage/loss; artists may provide their own insurance.
