Description
Open call for the VAGF Art Auction at Verona Villa. Accepts Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and some small sculptures. Artists may submit up to 2 works for silent auction and cash award consideration; artists must attend the annual art appreciation awards dinner to participate.
Notes
Submission window: 2025-10-19 00:00 to 2026-01-09 23:59. Fee is $45 for up to 2 artworks. Sponsored by Verona Villa. Open to anyone. Artwork theme is open; VAGF Board of Directors has discretion on acceptance and work must be suitable for public consumption. Submission fee includes one raffle ticket and one artist admission ticket to the event; additional dinner tickets may be purchased separately and extra raffle tickets may be purchased at check-in. VAGF retains 20% and artist receives 80% of auctioned price. Submitted auction works are also eligible for Board Choice and Audience Favorite cash awards. Maximum size is 24 inches in all directions including frame to fit on VAGF Propanel walls; larger pieces may be entered but must include an easel. Works must be ready to hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame; saw hook hanging is not accepted. Works on 1/2-inch canvases should be framed; works on 1-inch to 2-inch canvases should have neatly painted edges if not framed. Artists must note the minimum bid price for each piece; if not noted, minimum bid starts at $100. Deliver artwork Friday, January 16, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Verona Villa. If artwork is not delivered by 5:30 PM on 1/16/26, it will not be included and no refunds will be given. Unsold artwork must be picked up following the conclusion of the event, no later than 9:30 PM. Failure to pick up may incur storage fees of $25 per day starting on the pickup day. Artwork must be displayed until load-out time. Contact: finance@vagf.org.
