VALA was created to promote the vital and vibrant artistic community and serves as a conduit for creative synergy between talented local artists, local businesses, and patrons of the arts in order to energize and support the arts in the area. The organization operates through member participation and offers various opportunities for artists to showcase their work and teach workshops.
